Mojito Recipe

Making a Mojito

  • 6 to 10 Mint Leaves
  • 1/2 Lime
  • 2 oz. Light Rum
  • 1 oz. Simple Sugar
  • Ice
  • Club Soda

Place mint leaves and lime wedges in glass. Gently muddle mint and lime. Add rum, simple sugar and ice. Fill remainder of glass with club soda and mix.

There seems to be no shortage of opinions on making the mojito. This is the mojito recipe we use because it is very refreshing, the ingredients are readily available and it makes a great tasting drink every time.

Other variations replace regular sugar for simple sugar but we've found that plain sugar is difficult to dissolve in a cold drink. Some recipes even use dark rum. In any case, the basics of the drink remain. This is a light tasting drink with a very fresh sparkling taste.
